Our History
UniPower LLC was founded by Jen and Matt McDevitt, combining their extensive industry expertise to redefine excellence in critical power services. Jennifer brought a strategic corporate and engineering perspective, while Matt contributed hands-on global field engineering and technical support leadership. Together, they transformed their complementary skills into a trusted industry leader.
The company’s origins date back to 1997, a pivotal year as the McDevitts welcomed their first daughter and recognized an opportunity to leverage their technical and managerial strengths. Matt transitioned from corporate work to launch UniPower Global Power Solutions in 1998, operating initially from a home office. With the news of the arrival of their second daughter in 1999, Jennifer joined full-time, merging her corporate acumen with Matt’s field expertise. On December 16, 1999, they formally established UniPower LLC, uniting their professional backgrounds to build a resilient, client-focused business.
For over 25 years, Jen and Matt have grown UniPower LLC by adhering to their founding principles: technical excellence, professional integrity, and unwavering client commitment. Their customer-centric approach – delivering responsive support wherever and whenever needed – combined with hard work and servant leadership, has guided the company through industry transformations and global challenges.
